Rev. Jane Field, Exec. Director of the Maine Council of Churches suggests that Jesus’ anger was rooted in deep love for the marginalized being exploited by the powerful — and that scholars, clergy, and artists have long been too quick to sanitize that rage.  Drawing on Jesus’s furious overturning of the money changers’ tables in all four Gospels, Rev.
